Learning Outcome 5
Document their work using appropriate conventions (MLA).
Throughout Highschool and college I have worked with MLA format. While I have learned about different formats this year that I haven’t used before, I have learned found that MLA is the easiest. Since this was one of my first papers of this year, getting back into the practice of using MLA and writing in general there was a few things that I should’ve looked out for while editing.
Considering paper 2 and reviewing the intext citations and work cited, I believe I did a lot of things different in comparison to paper 1. In my paper 2, I used a lot more quotes to back up my statements that I was trying to make. I would explain what idea I was trying to make, then use a quote to further explain my reasoning, then add another explanation if it related to anything else I used in my writing. Reviewing my comments made, a majority were to add more quotes to strengthen my ideas and thinking’s that I was trying to make.
In my paper 3 there is not really any comments that were made on my paper about MLA or citations. Since in paper 3 it wasn’t mandatory to have a work cited, yet it was extra credit, I took it upon myself to make one and I had all the right information it just didn’t need to be centered. Other than that, I had a good format and in text citations for MLA format except just trouble on my work cited page. Most of my comments again on paper 3 were local revisions that I had trouble fixing when revising my paper initially.
